Siberian Ginseng

Chapter No. 5 in which Siberian ginseng helps manage stress and boost vitality

The remarkable Eleutherococcus senticosus or Siberian ginseng thrives in the vast expanse of eastern Asia, including Japan, northern China, as well as in Russia within the territories of Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, and even on Sakhalin.

This beneficial shrub displays branching trunks adorned with numerous thin thorns and features compound, sharp leaves on elongated petioles. During late summer, the plant blossoms, releasing small fragrant flowers, and as autumn arrives, its fruits ripen. The black berries with seeds bear a resemblance to the black chokeberry.

Eleutherococcus is an unpretentious plant that doesn't require much sunlight, and the soil and air humidity also don't significantly affect its growth. As a result, the plant tends to hide in spruce and cedar forests. The shrub is resistant to winter frosts and drought.

Healing, healthy, Siberian

Eleutherococcus shares similar beneficial properties with the healing effects of ginseng root. However, genuine ginseng is much rarer in nature, and cultivating it under artificial conditions is quite challenging. As a result, the cost of raw materials and products, including supplements, based on it is high. In contrast, Eleutherococcus is more abundant in the wild and adapts well to cultivation. Due to its comparable usefulness and effectiveness to its renowned relative ginseng, it is often referred to as "Siberian ginseng".

The bees' favourite

Beekeepers greatly benefit from Siberian ginseng, as it is a valuable honey-producing plant. Feeding bees with a liquid extract of Eleutherococcus promotes the growth of robust bee colonies, enhances their vitality, improves efficiency, increases swarming, and boosts their engagement in nectar processing. As a result, there is an increase in honey production.

The power of the root

Eleutherococcus root has a useful and beneficial effect on the human body. Polysaccharides and polyphenols present in Eleutherococcus extract can activate the endocrine glands, stimulate organs, and influence biological processes on multiple levels.

Healing Siberian ginseng:

– Helps in fighting stress, increases the body's stamina;
– Has tonic and restorative effects;
– Enhances mental and physical performance, promoting improved concentration;
– Supports the immune system and exhibits anti-inflammatory effects;
– Regulates the carbohydrate metabolism;
– Strengthens the hair and revitalizes the scalp;
– Prevents premature skin ageing;
– Improves vision.

Medications based on Eleutherococcus are effective in preventing viral infections, aiding in the recovery process after illnesses, managing general stress and increased fatigue, and supporting the body during periods of heightened physical and mental stress.
